Paterson Public Schools Mission and Vision

Recognizing our proud traditions and diverse community and partnerships, the mission of the Paterson Public School District is to provide an academically rigorous, safe and nurturing educational environment; by meeting the social, emotional, and academic needs of our students as we prepare them for post-secondary education and career. 

Paterson Public Schools Vision:  The District will be a leader of the 21st Century innovation where students develop habits of lifelong learning and excel academically to become future ready leaders. 

STARS/TIES School Mission:  STARS (Students Transitioning and Achieving Real Success) Academy will encourage and promote transitioning from school to work. We expect all students to reach for the stars and to follow their own dreams of becoming productive members of the Paterson community.  The mission of STARS Academy is to prepare our students to become productive members of their community in the workforce through an emphasis on honesty, responsibility, caring, trust and respect for staff as well as others.
